Unfortunately, the future of our group is uncertain, as key office holders plan to step down from their positions at our upcoming AGM.
The AGM will take place at the Panthers Leagues Club at 5pm on February 15 in the Macquarie Room. COVID restrictions and members' health issues have significantly limited our capacity to support the local community.
IN NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
Without the support of new members, we are faced with the prospect of being unable to continue our valuable work.
With many men and families in the local area impacted by prostate cancer, we have assisted those who are newly diagnosed, and long-term survivors, by providing friendship and support.
We also proudly promote PCFA (Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia) specialist nurses and their new telenursing service, which offers information and expert advice to those affected in our local area.
Community awareness is key to overcoming prostate cancer. Over the past 25 years, we've successfully boosted survival rates from 73 per cent to 95pc, and we couldn't have done it without your donations and support.
Over the Christmas period, please consider making a donation to PCFA for men and families facing prostate cancer, and remember that we are here for you if you need us.
To talk to a PCFA specialist nurse or join a support group, call 1800 22 00 99 or go to www.pcfa.org.au.
Our best wishes to you and your loved ones for a healthy, safe and happy festive season.
