Remembrance Day is commemorated each year to mark the end of World War I, and is observed in most Commonwealth countries to acknowledge the service and sacrifice of men and women in war.
Bathurst RSL Sub Branch president David Mills said the Remembrance Day service will somewhat resemble what was commonplace prior to the pandemic, with necessary protocols in place.
"There'll be COVID-safe protocols in place, but we really want the community to come together to not only remember the fallen, but to not forget about them," Mr Mills said.
"Sacrifice and service are at the heart of Remembrance Day, but it's not just about the men and women in uniform, it also honours the families and civil communities in these areas where war was conducted.
"We're honouring those who fought and were involved in war, but it's important to remember we're in not way glorifying war."
For the first time ever, Remembrance Day commemorations will take place with a complete Carillon, with local carillonists to perform a brief concert to honour the occasion.
"The carillonists will perform a half-hour recital following the service, and we're quite excited to see how it adds to proceedings," Mr Mills said.
"There will also be a barbecue at the Bathurst Vietnam Veterans Park from noon raising money for Swiss 8, a charity dedicated to promoting positive mental health among younger servicemen and women."
