Only a couple of minor changes have been made with teams in the lead up to the 2020-21 competition, with a draw expected to be just a matter of days away from being finalised.
BDCA secretary Brad Broes said a couple of teams are finalising their teams but the current outlook is a positive one across all competitions.
"If you don't include our first grade sides [who play in the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket competition] then it looks like we're going to have either 21 or 22 teams at this stage," he said.
"Those numbers are pretty good. That means we have eight in second grade, either seven or eight in president's cup and five or six in third grade. We're just sorting out the last couple of nominations."
President's Cup was looking like seeing some fresh faces this season, though time will tell whether that's still going to be the case.
"Blayney are looking at coming back in and I know City Colts were looking at doing the same until they lost a couple of their senior players, which was a shame. Hopefully they're in good stead for next year," Broes said.
"I think overall the numbers are good. We haven't lost any teams and it's nice to see after the tough year that we've had that everyone's ready to get in and have a crack."
Broes is expecting the second grade competition to be another tough year to predict a winner.
"It should be really interesting to see what the comp brings about because I know Oberon had a great team with that mix of youth and experience last season. Hopefully they've retained that side," he said.
"Colts had a fairly experienced lineup and I'd say they'll go alright. I know Centennials have some kids coming up from their Presidents Cup side, which is good to see.
"With ISA not going ahead this year that's helped Pat's keep together their two sides. There's a nice mix of juniors with older heads."
