Walk 'n' Talk for Life, was hosted by Lifeline Central West NSW, with the aim of a safe and friendly monthly walk to build connection, understanding, support and well-being in the Bathurst community.
Kellie Fuller, who was one of the organisers said the monthly walk was about "yanhanha, yayalanha and bagaraybang" walking, talking and healing.
"We are really hoping people find this to a a safe, friendly place where people can walk, talk and be on country, and learn from each other."
Ms Fuller said she was delighted with turn out, with many taking the chance to meet someone new, get some exercise and help prevent suicide in Bathurst.
She said the aim of the event was to improve the mental health of people in the community and the beauty of it is everyone can be part of it.
The walk is wheelchair accessible and transport is available for people who need it.
Wiradjuri elder, Yanhadarrambal, gave a healing smoking ceremony at Burbung Ngurrum, Circle of Stones and the group then set off walking around the Macquarie River, before enjoying a free barbeque at the conclusion of the event.
