The Bathurst Business Chamber has invited Mr Bowen to the city to discuss the opposition’s policies and how they will affect small businesses in regional Australia.
Chamber president, Angus Edwards, said both members and non members were welcome to attend the event, which gets underway at 12.30pm at B Town BBQ.
“It will provide guests with an opportunity to hear about the policies that the opposition will be taking to the next Federal election, due before May this year.
“This year is an important year for business with elections in NSW and also at a Federal level. We are pleased to be able to give members the chance to hear first hand about the policies and vision that will affect businesses and regional Australia.”
Mr Edwards said the Bathurst Business Chamber is delighted that Mr Bowen has accepted the invitation to speak at the event and take questions about policies that affect the economy and small business.
“It’s going to be great to be able to hear from the person who could potentially be the treasurer, in particular their policies on negative gearing and changes to franking credits for dividends.
Mr Edwards said the chamber was hoping to do similar events in the lead up to both the State and Federal elections.
The chamber stressed the event is not a political fundraiser with proceeds from the event to be retained by the Bathurst Business Chamber Inc. To attend, RSVP for the event via sticky tickets or the Bathurst Business Chamber Facebook Page.
