It’s the second weekend in a row that the Bathurst District Cricket Association’s first grade Twenty20 fixtures have been abandoned.

The first round of matches at 12.30pm were called off in the morning.
The pitch conditions were assessed half an hour later to determine whether the next batch of games at 4pm could go ahead, but they too were abandoned.
Morse Park 1 was the only ground that had a chance of being played on for the later match.
- Brad Broes
“It was due to the amount of rain we had across Thursday and Friday afternoon. In those periods the rain just came down hard,” BDCA secretary Brad Broes said on Sunday.
“We had a look at 10am and knew there was no way we could play the 12.30pm games. The Sportsground and Morse Park 2 were written off straight away for the rest of the day.
“Morse Park 1 was the only ground that had a chance of being played on for the later match. We knew it would be touch and go.
“It’s unfortunate given that we were really interested to see how these Twenty20 matches would go, and we still are yet to see one game.”
